At Wesley Chapel Mobile Notary, we recognize that life's challenges don't always occur in the most convenient locations.
That's why we're committed to bringing our notary services to you, wherever you are - even if that means a hospital, nursing facility, or county jail.
Here's what you need to know about arranging notary services in these special circumstances:
If your loved one is in the hospital and needs a document notarized, we can help. However, there are a few things you should do to ensure a smooth process:
- Inform us of any parking accommodations or fees at the hospital.
- Notify a staff member, such as the caseworker or charge nurse, of our upcoming visit.
- Ensure that the signer is of sound mind and understands the document they are signing.
Please note that we cannot notarize documents for individuals who are unconscious, heavily medicated, or otherwise unable to comprehend their surroundings.
We also extend our notary services to nursing facilities. To ensure a smooth and efficient signing process, we kindly ask you to:
- Please inform us about any specific parking arrangements or fees associated with the facility.
- Notify a staff member, ideally the healthcare worker responsible for the signer's care, regarding our scheduled visit.
- Let us know of any physical impairments that might hinder or slow down the signing process.
As experienced notaries, we can often accommodate signers in these situations, but prior knowledge helps us better prepare.
Please note: Similar to a hospital notarization, we cannot notarize documents for individuals who do not have the mental capacity to comprehend what they are signing.
If your loved one is in county jail and needs a document notarized, we can come to them. To ensure a successful notarization:
- Provide us with all necessary information about the jail, including visiting hours and any specific rules or procedures we must follow.
- Inform the detention center staff of our notary visit in advance.
- Ensure that the signer has a valid form of identification available at the time of notarization.
Please note that we must adhere to all rules and regulations set by the detention facility, and the signer must be willing and able to sign the document.
